Am curious about Mr. DeSantis' attack on accreditation (via lawsuit). I have no idea how viable this legal strategy will be. Or how it could change (among many other things) the process by which colleges close. If the outcome is some kind of laissez-faire anything goes situation with colleges...
Ron’s lawsuit is a stunt. He argues that standards aren’t voluntary (there’s a peer approval process of all changes). And now that the regionals have opened up the door to all comers, he’s only left with a complaint about how that approval process works. And laissez-faire is the last thing he wants: he wants state control of all higher ed.
