I'm very sorry to read this. My mother attended ENC in the 40s, and she shared many happy memories with me. I just stumbled across her Freshman yearbook. It's really a shame the college is closing. I still remember her eyes lighting up when she talked about it.
Went to NNC (now NNU). This doesn't surprise me at all. Schools have to be ahead of the curve, not behind.
